Hello. No more lovely fern talk about PA, because this entry is about
Lehigh Gap, PA. Or, as the guidebook put it, the "most challenging
scramble on the AT south of New Hampshire.

Helpful - i dont think i read that bit until after we climbed it...

Anyway - Lehigh Gap was about 42 miles from the PA / NJ border, and we
were tired as it was. Had been scrambling over ridiculous rocks and
boulder fields that PA passed off as "trails" for days and had just
slept in the worst shelter yet - Baked Oven Knob shelter. An original
AT shelter (which means small, scary, trashed, and without a privy),
that we later learned was home to 2 blacksnakes (thank god LATER ).
